On Friday 8/31/2012 police responded to Wal-Mart in the 2800 block of East Market Street for three separate retail theft investigations. The first incident occurred at 2:45 pm and investigation revealed that a male selected two boxes of candy and a can of compressed air from their display and concealed them on his person. He then left the store without paying. James Killing of Manchester was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft. The second incident occurred at 6:43pm and investigation revealed that a male selected assorted clothing items valued at $124.48 from their display and failed to pay for the merchandise. Christopher Simmons Jr of York was taken into custody and transported to the York County Central Booking Center where he was arraigned on Retail Theft charges. The third incident occurred at 11:24 pm and investigation revealed that a female selected 69 different items valued at $614.96 from their dispaly and then left the store without paying. Charges for retail theft are pending.
