Robbery/Retail Theft at Burlington Coat Factory

On Tuesday 9/11/2012 at 5:19 pm officers were dispatched to the Burlington Coat Factory in the 2800 block of East Market Street for a reported retail theft.  Investigation revealed that a female selected $320.54 worth of men’s and women’s clothing from their displays and then attempted to exit the store without paying.  After being confronted about the merchandise, the female forcibly pushed her way to the exit doors by fighting with employees.  Employees were able to hold her until police arrived.  Once on scene officers attempted to take the female into custody but she resisted arrest.  Tara Dobson was taken into custody and charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Retail Theft, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct.  She was transported to the York County Central Booking Center to be arraigned on the charges.
