Puppies Stolen from Local Pet Shop

On Tuesday 11/13/2012 police responded to Gettys Pet Shop in the 2900 block of East Market Street for a reported theft.  Upon arrival the investigation revealed that two Hispanic males removed an Old English Bulldog puppy from its crate while an employee was busy assisting another customer.  The two males then left the store with the puppy hidden in one of their coats. Once in the parking lot both males entered a black older model Ford pick-up truck.  Witnesses reported that the truck left the lot and was last seen traveling East on East Market Street. A mixed Jack Russell Terrier puppy was also taken from the business the day before.  It is unknown at this time if the two thefts are related.  Anyone with any information about either of these crimes is asked to contact the Springettsbury Township Police Department at 717-757-3525.
