14 Hit and Run incidents reported

Between 12/5/2012 and 12/18/2012 the Springettsbury police were dispatched to 14 hit and run incidents.  The majority of the reports occurred in parking lots throughout the township.

The PA vehicle states that if you are involved in a crash on the roadway or in a parking lot, you are required to stop and provide the necessary information to the other driver.  This includes your license, vehicle, and insurance information.  If you strike a parked vehicle, it is your obligation to make contact with the owner of the vehicle, whether in person or with a note.  It is always a good idea to contact the police if you can not locate the owner.
