Subject charged with Robbery and other offenses.

On Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 1904 hours, the Springettsbury Township Police Department responded to Amelia’s Grocery Outlet, 1244 Greensprings Dr., for the report of an armed robbery in which the suspect fled in a vehicle.  Investigation revealed a 42 year-old female was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot when a male subject approached her, pointed a handgun at her and stole her purse.  The male subject fled in a vehicle.  Through investigation, the suspect was identified as 34 year-old Robert W. Miller III of York, PA.  Miller was charged with Robbery, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Simple Assault and Possession of Firearms Prohibited.  A warrant for Miller’s arrest was obtained.  On Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2129 hours, Miller was taken into custody without incident with the assistance of Spring Garden Township Police Department.   Miller was transported to central booking for arraignment on the above charges.
