Possession of Marijuana-2500 Block of East Market Street

While on foot patrol Police found two subjects smoking marijuana inside of a vehicle. Charges to be filed.

Driving Under the Influence-East Market Street at Mills Street

Responded to the area of E. Market St. and Mills St. for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival it was determined that the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. The operator was taken to Memorial Hospital for a BAC test. Upon results of that test, charges will be filed.

Traffic Offenses-Rte 30 Eastbound at the Township Line

While on a traffic stop on Rt 30 EB at the Hellam Twp line a vehicle nearly struck an officer’s patrol car.  The vehicle was stopped at the Hellam exit. The driver was found to be operating the vehicle without an ignition interlock system. Charges to be filed.

Criminal Mischief-Big Lots, 2890 Whiteford Road

Responded to the parking lot of Big Lots for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The owner reported that her driver’s side window was broken out. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.

Retail Theft-Giant, 2415 East Market Street

Police responded to Giant, 2415 East Market St. for a retail theft report.  Loss prevention advised he had an adult female in custody for retail theft. The female stole a bottle of chap stick . The female was cited for retail theft and released.

Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Responded to Wal-Mart, 2801 E. Market St. for a theft. Upon my arrival  the victim  advised that while she was in the store her cell phone was stolen.

Retail Theft-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Road

Responded to Kohl’s for a report of a juvenile male in custody for retail theft. Upon arrival it was determined the juvenile had taken $50.99 in merchandise and left the store. The juvenile was cited and released.
