Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

The manager at Wal-Mart reported that they had a shoplifter in custody. Responded and found that an adult female had selected $574.02 of merchandise and left the store without paying for said items. This was found to be a first offense and the subject was released from the scene. Charges for retail theft are pending.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Two adults, one male and one female, were caught stealing $83.06 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart, at 2801 East Market St., on Thursday, September 4, 2014. Both subjects had warrants and were released to Central Booking on those warrants. The charges for the retail theft will be sent via summons.

Access Device Fraud-Giant-2415 East Market

On station, I received a complaint of an access device fraud that occurred at the Giant Food Store, 2415 E. Market Street. Complainant advised that unknown person(s) used his debit card number to conduct a transaction without his permission.

Retail Theft-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Road

Responded to Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd. for a retail theft. Upon my arrival I spoke with the complainant who advised that he was holding an adult male for stealing merchandise. The subject was cited and released without incident.

Hit and Run-Rte 30 and Mount Zion Road

Police responded to the area of SR 30 and Mt. Zion Rd. for a hit and run report. The victim advised a tractor trailer changed lanes and side swiped his vehicle. The tractor trailer left the scene. Further investigation is needed.

Criminal Mischief-51 Stonybrook Drive

Responded for a report of a criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that unknown actors cut the liner of the victim’s swimming pool causing the loss of water.

Retail Theft-Gabriel Brothers, 1226 Greensprings Drive

Responded to Gabriel Brothers, 1226 Greensprings Dr. for a retail theft. Upon  arrival the complainant  advised that he was holding two adult females for stealing merchandise.  Charges to be filed.

Underage Possession of Alcohol-Whiteford Road

On patrol I observed subjects in possession of an liquor bottle. They were found to be underage. They were turned over to their parents which charges pending.

Hit and Run-Memory Lane at East Market Street

Subject reported witnessing a hit and run on Memory Ln. at E. Market St. A sign advising of a divided highway was struck and knocked over. A description of the striking vehicle and direction of travel were provided. The vehicle was later located in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot. The owner was found to be staying at the Hampden Inn and he admitted to hitting the sign.  Charges filed.
