Retail Theft-Lowes, 2449 East Market Street

Responded to Lowes, 2449 E. Market St. for a female shoplifter in custody. On scene met with Lowes loss prevention who advised that a female concealed merchandise and left the store without paying. Found that the actor had 4 prior convictions for retail theft, making this a fifth/felony offense as well as two outstanding warrants. The actor was taken into custody and transported to booking where she was turned over to the sheriff’s dept. for warrant service and arraignment on the retail theft charge.

Retail Theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Road

On 9/11/2014 at 1251 hours, Police responded to Boscovs for a retail theft. Upon arrival, it was found that a female took 9 items from display valued at $109.21 and concealed them into her purse and left without paying. The female was identified and charged with retail theft.

Hit and Run-1655 East Market Street

Responded for a report of a hit and run. Investigation revealed that unknown suspects in an unknown vehicle struck the victim’s basketball pole, knocking it over, and then fled the scene.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart for the report of a retail theft. Investigation revealed that the suspect took $69.97 worth of merchandise making this a misdemeanor offense.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Wal-Mart for a report of a retail theft in progress. Upon arrival two suspects had been taken into custody by Loss Prevention. The investigation revealed the suspects took multiple items from the store without paying. One suspect was transported to Central Booking for arraignment and the second suspect was cited and released.

Retail Theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Road

Responded to Boscov’s for a report of a retail theft. The Loss Prevention Officers had one male adult in custody for stealing a sweatshirt. The subject was cited and released.

Underage Drinking-Locust Grove Road at Eastern Blvd.

On 09/11/2014 at approximately 2303 hours Police initiated a traffic stop. Investigation revealed two passengers to be under the age of 21  had consumed a liquor or malt beverage.  Both cited and released to responsible adults.
