Theft from a Motor Vehicle-351 South Vernon Street

On the above date Police responded to 351 S Vernon St for the report of a theft from a vehicle. Victim advised her purse was taken from her unlocked vehicle overnight.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 9/17/2014 at 0903 hrs, Police  responded to Wal-Mart for a retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention had a female in custody for retail theft. The female had taken 2 clothing items valued at $18.91, from display and exited Wal-Mart with no attempt to pay for items. The female was issued a Non-Traffic Citation for retail theft and released.

Theft-2120 North Sherman Street

Responded to 2120 N Sherman St for report of a theft of 3 bicycles. The victim reported three bicycles removed from the property overnight.

Counterfeit Bill-Salvation Army,1090 Haines Road

Responded to the Salvation Army for report of a counterfeit $10 bill used to make a purchase. Obtained the $10 bill from manager, and turned it over to the United States Secret Service.

Investigation to continue.

Forgery-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 9/17/2014 at 1230 hours, Police responded to Wal-Mart for a prescription forgery. Upon arrival, It was found that 3 prescriptions for Percocet had been forged on 3 separate dates. Further investigation.

Hit and Run, 1815 North Hills Road

Police responded to 1815 North Hills Rd. for a hit and run report. The victim advised a tractor trailer struck her mail box and a concrete wall.

Hit and Run-3400 Eastern Blvd.

Responded for a hit and run. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot. No suspects/leads at this time.

Retail Theft-Wine and Spirits, 2414 Eastern Blvd.

Police were advised by the general manager of Wine & Spirits that a known subject stole alcohol, total value of $23.98, from the store on August 19, 2014 and August 21, 2014.

Further investigation.
