Suspect Hits Police Vehicles While Trying to Flee.

On 11/29/2014  at 3:43 AM, the Springettsbury Township Police responded to the area of Lyndhurst Rd and Eastern Blvd for the report of several males fighting. Upon arrival officers located a suspect vehicle and attempted to stop same. The suspect vehicle rammed two police vehicles while trying to flee the area. The driver fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.  The passengers in the vehicle were also taken into custody and later released. The driver, Michael Vaughn, 20, of Harvest Drive in York,  was arrested and charged with a variety of offenses to include Aggravated Assault, Fleeing and Eluding, DUI, and Hit and Run.  He was transported to York County Central Booking where he was arraigned on the charges.  One of the Police vehicles sustained moderate damage and the other received minor damage.  No officers were injured.
