Weekend Crime Log- January 3rd and 4th, 2015

Retail Theft-Dollar General, 2450 East Market Street

Responded to the area of Dollar General, 2450 E. Market St. for a shoplifter who fled the store. Located and took the actor into custody in the area of E. Philadelphia St. and N. Rockburn St.  Miguel Ortiz-Guzman, 34, of South Queen Street in York was transported to Central Booking to be arraigned on Retail Charges.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-Avis, 3626 East Market Street

Police took a theft report from Avis Budget Group on this date, 01/02/15. The complainant advised a female rented a blue Ford Focus on October 24, 2014. The vehicle was to be returned on 11/12/14. It was never returned and the female has not been able to be contacted.

Hit and Run-Rte 30 at Loucks Mill Road

On 01/02/15 at 1542 hours the victim came on station to report a hit and run that occurred to her 1998 Isuzu Rodeo on 01/01/15 at 2355 hours. This occurred while she was traveling west bound on SR-30 by Loucks Mill Rd. York, Pa. Damage was done to the passenger side front bumper of her Isuzu.

Hit and Run-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 01/02/15 at 1644 hours Police took a report from the victim who had her 2007 Saturn Ion struck by a unknown person or object while parked in the parking lot of WalMart. This was to have occurred on 01/02/15 between 1345 and 1530 hours. Damage was done to the passenger side mirror.

Hit and Run-Walgreens, 2350 East Market Street

On January 3rd 2015 at 0034 hours Police responded to Walgreens, 2350 E Market St, for a hit and run report. Investigation revealed that one vehicle backed into another vehicle and left the area.

Hit and Run-2925 Eastern Blvd.

On January 3rd 2015 Police  responded to S Royal St for a disabled vehicle. Investigation revealed that the vehicle damaged property at 2925 Eastern Blvd and left the area.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police were called to Walmart for a report of one juvenile female in custody for retail theft. Further investigation revealed that the juvenile female, who was also with a younger juvenile male and an infant female, had stolen clothing and shoes from the store. The juvenile female was released from the scene with a juvenile allegation form to be completed.

Harassment-3031 Druck Valley Road

Police responded to 3031 Druck Valley Rd. for an assault. Upon  arrival the adult female victim advised that she was assaulted by an adult male resident of the home.  Charges pending.

Harassment-3847 Tarpley Drive

The victim came to STPD headquarters regarding an assault that occurred at 3847 Tarpley Dr. The victim reported that on 01/01/2015 her boyfriend head butted her in the face causing bruising to her eye. Charges to be filed.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle-701 South Royal Street

Responded to 701 S. Royal St. for a theft report. Upon  the complainant who advised that her vehicle was entered and property was taken.

Theft-124 Ambleside

Police responded to the above location for a report of a theft. Investigation revealed that the victim’s laptop had been stolen from inside of her home. Further investigation needed.
