Daily Crime Log-January 8th, 2015

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Responded to Walmart, 2801 E. Market St. for a shoplifter in custody. On scene met with Walmart loss prevention who advised that a B/M left the store without paying for a DVD player and a coat valued at $137.97. Identified the actor and found that he had nine parking warrants out of York City PD. Transported the actor to booking where he was turned over to the sheriff’s dept. for warrant service. Charges to be filed for retail theft.

Retail Theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 East Market Street

Responded to Giant for a retail theft. Investigation revealed that one adult female stole food and baby products from the store. During the investigation, the suspect provided police with false biographical information. The female was transported to Central Booking on Retail Theft and False ID to Law Enforcement charges. Charges were competed and faxed to Central Booking.

Retail Theft-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Road

On 01/08/15 at 1617 hours Police responded to Kohl’s located at 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd. York, Pa for a female in custody for retail theft. Upon arrival information was obtained. Stolen and recovered was two clothing items valued at $67.99. The female was released with charges to be filed.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Responded to Wal-mart, 2801 E. Market St. for a retail theft. Upon my arrival the complainant  advised that she was holding an adult female for stealing merchandise. Information was obtained and the female was released, with charges to be filed.

Criminal Mischief-3824 Stuart Drive

On January 8, 2015 at 1708 hours Police were dispatched to 3824 Stuart Dr. for the report of criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that the victim’s paycheck was ripped up and thrown away by a known suspect.

Retail Theft-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Road

Police were called to the area of Kohls for a report of two suspects that had committed retail theft and fled the scene on foot after abandoning the merchandise. The suspect and his girlfriend were located running behind Martin Foot and Ankle, and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to Central Booking on felony Retail Theft charges.
