Springettsbury Hosts DUI Checkpoint

On Tuesday night March 17th, 2015, the Springettsbury Township Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint in the 300 block of Haines Road.  The checkpoint was sponsored by the Center for Traffic Safety.  215 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint which ran from 10pm to 2am.   Police officers from York Area Regional Police, Northern York County Regional Police, Spring Garden Police, Springettsbury Police, and the York County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the checkpoint.  Volunteers from MADD were on scene as well to support the officers efforts.

Three subjects were charged with DUI, 10 arrest warrants were served, 8 traffic citations were issued and 1 person was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.
