Driving Under the Influence-300 Block of Edgewood Road

On May 29th 2015 at approximately 0219 hours police initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Edgewood Rd. The investigation revealed the operator to be under the influence of intoxicants. The operator was arrested for DUI and transported to Central Booking for processing.

Fleeing or attempting to Elude Police-Whiteford Road at Memory Lane

Vehicle failed to stop for a flashing red signal at the intersection of Whiteford Rd. and Memory Ln. Police attempted to stop the vehicle on Whiteford Rd. at N. Hills Rd. Driver failed to stay stopped and was last seen heading west on Whiteford Rd. from E. 11th Ave. towards Eberts Ln.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart and met with the loss prevention manager. He advised a  male subject was in the store on May 27, 2015. During that time, he stole items from the store. The theft was caught on surveillance footage. It was then brought to his attention that the suspect sold the DVDs at FYE in the Galleria Mall. At FYE, Police were able to obtain the suspect information and retrieve 16 DVDs that were stolen from Walmart, for a total of $269.98. The DVDs were returned to Walmart. Investigation to continue.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart, 2801 E. Market St. for a female shoplifter in custody. On scene Walmart loss prevention  advised they observed a W/F conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying. Walmart loss prevention was able to detain the female and recover the stolen merchandise valued at $85.56.

Identified the actor through a PA drivers license and obtained arrest information. The actor was then released, misdemeanor retail theft charges to be filed due to actor having a prior conviction for retail theft.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

While at Walmart for a retail theft, two other females were stopped by Walmart loss prevention for shoplifting. It was determined that one of the females had stolen $150.85 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. Obtained the actors information then released them. Misdemeanor retail theft charges to be filed on one of the females.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

At 1712 hours on 5-29-15 Police responded to Walmart for a report of a male that was concealing merchandise while within the store. The suspect pushed the cart of merchandise to the front of the store and fled the store. The suspect was taken into custody for a warrant and identified. The suspect was transported to Central Booking for warrant service and arraignment because of no fixed address.

Harassment by Communication-3400 Eastern Blvd

Spoke with the victim who advised that the suspect has been calling her phone and sending her text messages and leaving “nasty messages”. The victim declined prosecution but requested that police call the suspect and instruct her to stop calling her.

False Identification to Law Enforcement-Whiteford Road at Memory Lane

Vehicle observed on Memory Ln. at E. Market St. with an expired registration tab. Vehicle was stopped and the driver provided false ID to Police. It was found the adult male driver did not have a license and there were several other traffic violations committed. Charges pending.

Possession of Marijuana-East Market Street at Bloomingdale Court

Police observed a vehicle make a wide right turn onto Bloomingdale Dr. off of E. Market St. The vehicle then made a left turn onto Eastern Blvd., traveling east in the west bound lane of the divided highway. Vehicle was stopped and it was found that there was marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was also found to be intoxicated. Charges pending.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart, 2801 E. Market St. for a retail theft report. On scene met with Walmart loss prevention employee. She advised that on 5/29/15 a male pushed a loaded shopping cart out the grocery entrance without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention provided a registration for the suspect vehicle.

Retail Theft-Bed Bath and Beyond, 2845 Concord Road

Subject exited the store with merchandise valued at $349.99 without paying for same.
