Weekend Crime Log-July 18th and 19th, 2015

Possession of Narcotics-Rte 30 at North Sherman Street

A Springettsbury Twp. Police Officer initiated  a traffic stop on a vehicle for a faulty registration light. Upon investigation drugs and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.

Hit and Run-2935 Concord Road

Responded to the parking lot adjacent to the Christmas Tree Shop for a reported HIT & RUN. The victim stated a small green vehicle backed into her occupied vehicle then departed the area onto Concord Rd.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 7-18-15 at 1406 hours STPD was dispatched to Walmart at 2801 E. Market St. for a report of a male in custody for retail theft. Upon arrival it was determined the male had taken $29.92 in clothing. A criminal history check revealed the suspect had four prior retail theft convictions. The suspect was transported to Central Booking for arraignment.

Retail Theft-Best Buy, 2865 Concord Road

On 07/18/15 at 1800 hours Police arrived at Best Buy located at 2865 Concord Rd. York, Pa for a retail theft. Upon arrival information was obtained. Stolen and not recovered was a pair of headphones for a total loss of $150.00.

Trespassing-2508 Eastern Blvd

Officers were dispatched for a burglar alarm at the Susquehanna Bank located at 2508 Eastern Blvd. The alarm company was reporting that the alarms were coming from the rear entry doors and several interior alarms. It was found that the rear bank doors were unlocked. It was also found that the suspect in this incident had found a set of misplaced keys near the back door, unlocked the back door and gained entry into the bank. He then walked through the bank to the teller’s desk area and later left the bank. Suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.  

Harassment-3 Longstown Road

On July 18, 2015 at 2351 hours Police were dispatched to 3 Longstown Rd for the report of a domestic. Investigation revealed that the suspect grabbed the victim and fled the scene before police arrival.  Charges to be filed.
