Curfew Violation-Mills Street at Fifth Ave

On the above date and time Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a stop sign violation. Upon investigation it was found that the driver had no license. The driver and passenger were also in violation of Springettsbury Township Curfew. Charges to be filed.

Theft-128 Ambleside Drive

Responded to 128 Ambleside Dr for report of a theft. The victim reported finding three pieces of jewelry missing from her bedroom valued at $950.00.

Theft-1094 Haines Road

Returned a phone call to the victim regarding a lost or stolen registration plate. She advised that on 7/16/15 she was driving a rental car and discovered the license plate to be missing after shopping at K-Mart.

Theft-3210 East Market Street

Responded to Belmont Dental for a theft report. The complainant reported a garden hose and hose reel cart were stolen from the property.  

Hit and Run-1090 Haines Road

Responded to Salvation Army for a hit and run. The victim reported his car was parked in the lot and at 1230hrs someone hit the front bumper of his car causing damage.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 7/20/2015 at 1642 hrs, Police responded to Walmart for a retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention advised that two  males took numerous tools from display and left without paying for them. One of the males was escorted back to the loss prevention office and the other male ran. Both males were identified with misdemeanor charges to be filed.

Hit and Run-2907 Fifth Ave

On 7/20/2015 at 1950 hrs, Police responded to 2907 5th Ave for a report of a hit and fun. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that her white 1992 Nissan had been struck by an unknown vehicle between 7/19/2015 and 1500 hrs, and 7/20/2015 at 1930 hrs.

Retail Theft-Giant, 2415 East Market Street

On the above date Police responded to a suspected retail theft at Giant. The suspect vehicle was followed by a Giant Employee. The vehicle subsequently fled from YARPD. Passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody and the driver fled on foot and was not apprehended. Passenger to be charged with retail theft and Prohibited offensive weapons.

Harassment-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

The victims reported that they were being harassed by three  females in electric scooters at the Walmart . The victims advised that they were threatened and followed through the store by the suspects on the scooters. The suspects were identified and the security video will be checked once loss prevention is on duty.
