On Tuesday August 18th, 2015 the Springettsbury Township Police Department responded to 23 incidents, investigated one false burglar alarm and assisted one motorist enter their vehicle after they locked their keys inside.

In addition the following crimes were investigated.

Curfew Violation-Concord Road at Mount Zion Road

On August 18th 2015 at 0143 hours Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Concord Rd at Mt Zion Rd. Investigation revealed the vehicle was occupied by two juveniles in violation of the curfew ordinance.  Both were cited and released to their parents

Access Device Fraud-Home Depot, 2905 East Market Street

Police were called to the Home Depot reference a report of Theft By Deception. Upon arrival met with the caller. He advised that an unknown subject utilized his credit/debit card to make two purchases.

Theft-Arooga’s, 1211 Haines Road

Police were dispatched to the business for a report of a theft of currency from the building. Once on scene the complainant advised that an unknown subject had removed currency from the safe.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart, 2801 East Market St. for a retail theft report. Upon arrival, loss prevention had two subjects in custody for retail theft. Loss prevention reported these subejcts worked together to steal 11 electronic items valued at $195.06. The subjects were released from custody and misdemeanor charges will be filed.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart at 2801 E. Market St. on 8-18-15 at 1605 hours for a report of a female in custody for retail theft. Upon arrival the suspect was a juvenile. It was determined the suspect had taken $78.27 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying for the merchandise. A check of the criminal history showed one prior retail theft conviction. The suspect was released at the scene and her parent was contacted.  Charges to be filed.

Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 8-18-15 at 1646 hours while at Walmart for another call an officer received a call regarding a theft report. The victim reported that an unknown suspect/s took his wife’s cellphone while they were shopping in the  shoe department at approximately 1620 hrs.
