Over the weekend, STPD Officers responded to 57 incidents, investigated 4 crashes and responded to 3 burglary alarms.  In addition, the follow crimes were investigated.

Curfew Violation- North Harlan Street at East Market Street

On August 22, 2015 at 0022 hours while on patrol in the area of E Market St at N Harlan St an STPD Officer observed a group of subjects riding bicycles. Investigation revealed that the subjects were juveniles and in violation of the township curfew ordinance.  Charges to follow.

Harassment-2555 East Market Street

On the above date the victim reported being struck in the head by an unknown person behind Red Lobster. The suspect was intoxicated and dropped his wallet when he fled.  Charges to follow.

Hit and Run-Rutters, 1099 Haines Road

On the above date and time Police responded to the Rutters on Haines Rd for a hit and run report. Upon arrival it was determined that a white minivan backed into the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

Possession of Marijuana-2900 Block of Concord Road

On the above date and time an STPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. Upon investigation the driver was found to have a warrant and suspected marijuana was seen inside the vehicle.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Responded to WAL MART for female detained for Retail Theft. Upon arrival met with the store’s LPO. She advised she observed the subject remove an item of merchandise from the display, conceal it, then depart the store without paying for the merchandise, with total retail value of $12.97.

Theft-2320 Industrial Highway

Police were dispatched to the location for a report of a theft of material from the exterior of a building. The complainant advised that an unknown subject(s) had removed copper from the structure.

Theft-251 South Findlay Street

Responded to said location for a reported theft. Upon arrival made contact with the caller. He advised between said time unknown subject took one of the down spout plastic hoses from the corner of his home. The hose was estimated with a value of $30.00.

Simple Assault-2685 Carnegie Road

On the above date and time Police responded to Suburban Park Apts for the report of a fight. Upon arrival investigation revealed that a juvenile male was assaulted by an adult male. Charges to be filed
