On Wednesday August 26th, 2015 STPD Officers responded to 28 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle crashes.  In addition, the following crimes were investigated.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police were dispatched to the location for a subject in custody for retail theft. The subject was cited and released.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police were dispatched to the location for a subject in custody for retail theft. Once on scene loss prevention advised that they had detained a subject for concealing merchandise.  Due to this being a second offense, the subject will be charged with misdemeanor retail theft.

Harassment-9 Willowmette Court

Police were called for a report of a physical domestic where the female half had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police were unable to locate the female. Investigation revealed that the female struck her husband several times, causing minor bruises to her husband. The husband declined prosecution, but was provided victim’s rights information.

Driving Under the Influence-East Market Street at Keesey Street

Police were called the area of N Keesey St near E Market St for a report of an ambulance call where a white male, approx 20 years old, had fainted in the front yard of a residence. Investigation revealed that the male, Spencer Kubala, had been driving a vehicle while under the influence of suspected heroin, and had crashed his vehicle over a curb and into shrubs in the front yard of a residence. Kubala was also later found to have discarded several baggies of suspected heroin inside of an ambulance after EMS arrived on scene to treat him medically. Investigation continues.

 

Criminal Mischief-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to the parking lot of Walmart, 2801 East Market St. for a criminal mischief report. The victim reported an unknown suspect keyed her car while left unattended in the parking lot.

Public Drunkenness-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On August 26th 2015 at 2240 hours Police responded to Walmart, 2801 E Market St, for a report of an intoxicated subject that was passed out in front of the store. Investigation revealed that a subject became intoxicated by drinking a large amount of mouthwash and required medical assistance.
