On Wednesday September 9th, 2015 STPD Officers responded to 26 incidents, investigated 5 crashes and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  In addition the following crimes were investigated.

Fraud-2665 Carnegie Road

The victim arrived on station today, 09/09/15, to report she was scammed out of $1200. She advised over the last two months, she sent money to a person who claimed to be a homeowner for rent. The person turned out not to be the actual homeowner.

Theft-3495 Edenbridge Road

On 09/09/15 at 1652 hours Police responded to 3495 Edenbridge Rd. York, Pa for a theft of a green in color Huffy Blades bike having gray wheels. This action took place on 09/09/15 at 1645 hours.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 9/9/2015 at approximately 1755 hours this department was dispatched to Walmart, 2801 E Market St, for a retail theft. Loss prevention advised an adult male was in custody for pushing unpaid merchandise out of the store. The male had one prior offense, making this a misdemeanor. He was released with charges to be filed.

 

Retail Theft-Game Stop, 2899 Whiteford Road

Responded to the Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd. for a theft report. While investigating the theft, it was determined that a retail theft had occurred at the Game Stop, within the Galleria Mall. No suspect information was available.

 

Theft-Sprint, 2899 Whiteford Road

On 9/9/2015 at approximately 2123 hours this department was dispatched to 2899 Whiteford Rd for a theft. The complainant advised three black males entered the store. While one was distracting the complainant, another took approximately $102 from a cash box. The suspects are unknown at this time.
