On Monday, October 19th, 2015 STPD Officers responded to 38 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle crashes.  In addition the following crimes were investigated.

Possession of Marijuana-2559 East Market Street (York Marketplace)

On October 19, 2015 at 0005 hours while in the area of York Market Place, 2529 E Market St, an STPD Officer observed an occupied vehicle behind the above business complex. Investigation revealed that the passenger of the occupied vehicle was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Charges to be filed.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle-2011 East Market Street

The victim advised that an unknown subject had taken an item from her vehicle while parked at the above location.

Retail Theft-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Road

On 10/19/2015 at 1538 hrs, Police responded to Boscovs for a retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention advised that he had a hispanic male in custody for taking 6 clothing items valued at $47.94. The male was identified and issued a Non-Traffic Citation for Retail Theft.

Theft-Gabriel Brothers, 1226 Greensprings Drive

Police responded for a report of theft by an employee of the store. Investigation revealed that one juvenile female employee had stolen money from her cash register. Charges to follow.

Harassment-835 Cortleigh Drive

On 10/19/2015 at approximately 2038 hours this department was advised of a harassment by communication report at 835 Cortleigh Dr. The victim advised an unknown subject is sending her messages via Facebook that are harassing. Further investigation.
