On Thursday April 21st, 2016 STPD Officers responded to 28 incidents, investigated 3 crashes and responded to 4 alarms.  In addition, the following crimes were investigated.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart, 2801 East Market St. for a retail theft report. Upon arrival,  loss prevention had an adult female in custody for shop lifting. Loss prevention reported the female stole four miscellaneous items valued at $44.74. The female was taken into custody and arraigned on felony retail theft charges being this was her 10th offense.

Theft of a bicycle-2479 Wharton Road

Police were called to 2479 Auburn Rd for a report of a theft of a bicycle. Investigation revealed that an unknown male entered the car port of the residence at 2157 hrs on 4-20-2016 and stole a red Mongoose mountain bike. Video of the suspect was caught on a surveillance camera in the corner of the victim’s car port. Investigation continues.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 04/21/16 at 1303 hours Police responded to Walmart located at 2801 East Market St. York, Pa for a retail theft. Upon arrival information was obtained. Stolen and recovered were 5 items offered for sale and valued at $29.66. The female actor was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and released for this action without incident.

Retail Theft-Ulta, 2835 Concord Road

On April 21th 2016 at 1346 hours Police responded to Ulta, 2835 Concord Rd, for a report of a retail theft. Investigation revealed that numerous subjects stole assorted cosmetics valued at $928.00 on April 19th 2016.  Investigation continues.

Hit and Run-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Walmart, 2801 E. Market St. for a hit & run report.   The victim advised that she parked her car in row 12 of Walmart around 1200 hrs. this date. She stated  that when she returned to her car she discovered that an unknown vehicle had hit her car causing damage to the front bumper.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

Police responded to Wal-Mart for a reported retail theft.  Walmart loss prevention advised that a shoplifter was going out the general merchandise doors. Police accompanied loss prevention to the general merchandise doors where they stopped the actor and recovered the merchandise. The actor was then issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and released to her sister.

Hit and Run-Moe’s, 3013 East Market Street

Police were dispatched to Moe’s Southwest Grille, 3013 E Market St York PA 17402 for a hit and run report. The victim advised his 2016 Jeep Wrangler was struck in the parking lot.
