On Tuesday May 10th, 2016 STPD Officers handled 37 incidents, 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1105 hours an Officer responded to Kohl’s for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 5/4/16.  Store employees reported two electric toothbrushes were taken from the store which had a combined vale of $519.  Suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1435 hours an Officer was dispatched to Home Depot for the report of a theft of $259 worth of items the victim had just purchased from the store.  The victim advised he had set the items by his vehicle and briefly went back in the store.  When he returned the items were gone.  Further investigation is needed to develop a suspect.

Retail theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1640 hours an Officer responded to the Bon Ton for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  Employees reported a male had taken $48 worth of clothing and fled after not paying.  Investigation is ongoing.

Motor vehicle theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1702 hours it was reported that a 2013 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot of the Bon Ton.  The victim provided partial suspect information and it is believed the suspect is the same person who had committed a retail theft reported just prior to the motor vehicle theft.  At 2100 hours the vehicle was recovered in York City.  Investigation to continue.

Theft-Harley Davidson, 1425 Eden Rd

At 1604 hours an Officer responded to Harley Davidson for the report of a theft of tools.  The theft was to have occurred over the weekend and is under further investigation.

Hit an run-Rt 30 at N Sherman St

At 1737 hours an STPD Officer witnessed a hit and run on Rt 30 at the intersection with N Sherman St.  The suspect vehicle was stopped and the driver identified.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1851 hours a Walmart loss prevention employee reported a retail theft with two subjects in custody.  The pair left the store with $128 worth of merchandise without paying.  An adult male was cited for retail theft and released.  An adult female was arrested and taken to Central Booking where she was charged with a felony as this was her third offense.

Criminal mischief-600 block of Marlow Rd

At 2008 hours an Officer responded to an address on Marlow Rd for the report of criminal mischief to the resident’s lawn.  A vehicle had driven through the lawn causing an estimated $250 in damage.
