On Tuesday May 17th 2016, STPD Officers handled 19 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Possession of a small amount of marijuana-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd
At 0131 hours an STPD Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Rt 30 and N Hills Rd. The Officer later searched the vehicle and seized a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Central Booking and charged because he was not a PA resident.
Criminal mischief-Shaffer Park, Lynbrook Dr
At 0936 hours an Officer received a report of graffiti on a pavilion at Shaffer Park. An unknown subject used black spray paint on the structure within the past few weeks.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1737 hours Walmart loss prevention employees called police to report they had an adult female in custody for retail theft. The female suspect was found to have taken $208 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken to Central Booking and charged because she was not a PA resident.
