On Friday May 20th 2016, STPD Officers responded to 28 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-N Hills Rd at E Market St

At 0222 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of N Hills Rd and E Market St.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  The driver was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending BAC results.

Bad Check-Member’s 1st FCU, 2420 Mt Rose Ave

At 0800 hours an Officer handled a bad check report at the Member’s 1st FCU on Mt Rose Ave.  An employee advised a bad check was received at the bank in March and they provided suspect information.  Charges to be filed.

Theft from a vehicle-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1040 hours an Officer responded to the Village East Apartments for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised her vehicle was left unlocked and $20 worth of items were taken from the vehicle overnight.

Retail theft-Super Shoes, 2541 E Market St

At 1039 hours an employee at Super Shoes reported a retail theft of a pair of shoes valued at $99.  A description of the suspect and the tag number of the vehicle she fled in was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-3000 block of Druck Valley Rd

At 1145 hours the victim responded to the station to report a theft of a firearm from his residence.  The victim advised a .308 rifle was taken sometime between January 2014 and April 2015.  The theft was just now discovered and the rifle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Criminal mischief-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1316 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of criminal mischief to her vehicle that occurred in the parking lot of Walmart.  The victim reported an unknown person scratched her Ford Explorer while it was parked in the lot.

Retail theft/Possession of drugs and paraphernalia-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1818 hours an Officer responded to the Bon Ton for the report of an adult male in custody for retail theft.  The male was found to have taken $19 worth of clothing without paying.  The male was also found to be in possession of prescription pills, a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  The male was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1719 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the female suspect fled the scene.  Investigation revealed the suspect left the store without paying for $317 worth of merchandise.  When the suspect was confronted by a loss prevention employee, she fled and was last seen getting into a gold Mercedes Benz sedan.  The tag number of the vehicle was obtained with further investigation needed to identify the suspect.
