On Monday May 23rd 2016, STPD Officers handled 17 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Curfew violation-Northern Way at E Market St

At 0051 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Northern Way.  Investigation revealed the vehicle was occupied by 3 juveniles.  The juveniles were cited with curfew violations and released to their guardians.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1226 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of an adult male in custody for retail theft.  The male was found to have taken $317 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was released with charges to be filed.

Possession of drug paraphernalia-E Market St at Innovation Dr

At 1854 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver had a suspended license and was in possession of numerous items of drug paraphernalia.  He was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1947 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of an adult male in custody for retail theft.  The male was found to have taken $28 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for retail theft and released.

Armed robbery-Subway, 2516 Eastern Blvd

At 2106 hours Officers responded to the Subway on Eastern Blvd for the report of an armed robbery.  An employee advised a Hispanic male wearing all black clothing entered the restaurant armed with a knife and a handgun and demanded cash from the register.  The employee handed over the contents of the register and the suspect fled on foot and was last seen running east.  Investigation to continue.

Theft-KFC, 190 Memory Ln

At 2242 hours an Officer responded to the KFC for the report of a theft of a bicycle.  The victim advised his Roadmaster mountain bike was taken from the rear parking lot between 2000 and 2200 hours.  Suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.
