On Tuesday June 21st, 2016 STPD Officers were dispatched to 25 incidents, 1 motor vehicle crash and 2 alarms. In addition, the following crimes were investigated.
Hit and Run-609 Memory Lane
Police were called to the parking lot of Syncreon for a report of a hit and run. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect operating a green Ford Escape struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot, causing minor damage to the rear bumper of the victim’s vehicle.
Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street
On June 21, 2016 at approximately 1730 hours police responded to Walmart, 2801 E Market St for a retail theft report. Loss prevention had a juvenile male suspect in custody. Loss prevention reported this male stole clothing / ear buds valued at $21.23. The juvenile male was taken into custody and transported to YDC per CYS instructions. Juvenile male was cited and released to YDC.
Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street
On June 21, 2016 at approximately 1805 hours Police responded to Walmart, 2801 E. Market St., for a report of a retail theft. Investigation revealed that a male subject stole thirty miscellaneous items valued at $612.55. It was the subject’s first offense which makes this offense a misdemeanor due to the valued amount of the merchandise. The subject’s information was gathered and charges will be filed. Subject was released on scene.
Retail Theft-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Road
Responded to Boscov’s located at 2899 Whiteford Road for a report of a retail theft suspect in custody. The female offender was positively identified, taken into custody and transported to Central Booking for her third retail theft offense.
Hit and Run- East Philadelphia Street at North Marshal St
On June 21st 2016 at approximately 2307 hours Police were dispatched to E Philadelphia St and N Marshall St for a hit and run. The investigation revealed an unknown subject struck the victims vehicle and fled the scene.
