On Monday July 18th STPD Officers handled 42 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Suburban Park Apartments, Carnegie Rd

At 0024 hours the victim came to the station to report a theft of electronics from his apartment that occurred on 7/14/16.  The victim advised he had several people that he did not know over to his apartment for a party.  After the party was over and the guests left, he discovered $2500 worth of gaming electronics missing.

Curfew violation-Haines Rd at Mt Rose Ave

At 0440 hours an Officer found a 14 year old female walking by herself along Haines Rd.  The female advised she was out playing Pokémon Go.  She was taken home, turned over to a parent, and advised of the Springettsbury Twp Curfew Ordinance.

Thefts from vehicles-Officers took reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles that occurred overnight on the following streets:

  • Schoolhouse Ln-2 victims reported thefts of items to include gift cards, hand tools, and $500 cash.
  • Raleigh Dr-2 victims reported thefts of items to include an ashtray, a charging cord, and registration cards.
  • Cortleigh Dr-2 victims reported thefts of items to include an iPod and a set of keys.
  • S Vernon St-1 victim reported their vehicle was gone through but nothing was taken.
  • Sundale Dr-1 victim reported the theft of a watch.
  • Crystal Ln-1 victim reported a theft of an iPod and some drill bits.
  • S Russell St-1 victim reported a theft of gift cards.
  • Meridian Rd-1 victim reported a theft of cash and a flashlight.
  • Brighton Dr-1 victim reported a theft of a briefcase which was later recovered in a neighbor’s yard.

Armed robbery-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1114 hours Officers responded to Walmart for the report of an armed robbery.  A subject entered the store and approached the customer service counter.  He demanded cash and indicated he had a firearm.  The subject left the scene in a maroon and grey SUV, possibly a Hyundai Santa Fe.  The subject is described as a white male, heavy set, with tattoos on his legs.  He was wearing a grey T-Shirt, brown cargo shorts, brown Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers, and a dark ball cap with a white logo.

Hit and run-Pelham Dr

At 1310 hours an Officer responded to an address on Pelham Dr for the report of a hit and run that occurred overnight.  The victim advised her vehicle was parked on the curb at her residence and this morning she discovered that someone had struck her vehicle on the driver’s side.

Simple Assault-Bonneview St

At 1400 hours an Officer began an investigation into a simple assault that was to have occurred at a residence on Bonneview St.  A suspect was identified and interviewed and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-El Serrano, 3410 E Market St

At 1505 hours an Officer met with the victim who wanted to report a hit and run that occurred at El Serrano on 7/14/16.  The victim advised her vehicle was parked in the lot while she was working and when she returned to her vehicle she found it had been struck and damaged.

Harassment-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1852 hours Officers responded to the Village East Apartments for the report of a physical domestic.  Investigation revealed a mother had struck her adult daughter.  The mother was cited for harassment.
