On Tuesday August 23rd STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Burglary-Dairy Queen, 3020 E Market St

At 0920 hours an Officer responded to Dairy Queen for the report of a burglary that occurred during the overnight hours of 8/22/16.  The suspect removed cash from inside the business after gaining access into the building.  Information was provided on a possible suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1200 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a retail theft where the suspect fled.  An employee advised a male had taken a Kitchen Aid Mixer valued at $349 and fled when confronted.  The male was last seen leaving the area in a white pick up truck.

Theft from vehicle-Social Security Admin Building, 2670 Industrial Hwy

At 1310 hours an Officer responded to the Social Security building for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised that her purse containing cash and medication was taken out of her vehicle while it was parked in the lot.  The total loss is approximately $420.

Theft-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1650 hours an Officer met with the victim who wanted to report a theft of two firearms from his apartment.  The victim provided the name of the suspect who was interviewed and admitted to the theft.  Investigation to continue.

Harassment-600 block of Mundis Mill Rd

At 1807 hours Officers responded to Mundis Mill Rd for the report of a physical domestic that occurred in a vehicle.  Both subjects involved were located and interviewed and one will be charged with summary harassment.
