On Saturday August 27th STPD Officers handled 20 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 5 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI crash-3500 block of Stoneridge Rd

At 0143 hours Officers responded to Stoneridge Rd for the report of a vehicle that struck a telephone pole.  Investigation revealed there were minor injuries to the driver and a passenger and the driver was found to be intoxicated.  She was arrested for DUI and transported to Central Booking where she was charged with her second offense for DUI.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 0910 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a theft by deception that occurred on 8/26/16.  An employee advised a subject entered the store and selected $300 worth of merchandise and then proceeded to the front register and conducted a fraudulent return.  The subject provided his PA drivers license for identification and received a gift card.  Charges to be filed.

Retail theft/Receiving stolen property-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1022 hours Officers responded to Home Depot for the report of three males who were intoxicated and being disorderly in the parking lot.  Upon making contact with the subjects they were found to be inside a vehicle that had a stolen PA registration plate.  Further investigation revealed that the three had just committed retail theft 0f $852 worth of merchandise from Home Depot.  The subjects were transported to Central Booking and charged with numerous offenses.

Harassment-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 1524 hours an Officer responded to the Youth Development Center for the report of a harassment.  Staff advised two juvenile female residents got into an altercation.  One juvenile was cited for summary harassment.

DUI crash-Barracudas, 2256 Industrial Hwy

At 2125 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Barracudas for the report of a minor vehicle accident.  Investigation revealed one of the drivers was intoxicated.  The driver was transported to Central Booking and charged with his second offense for DUI.
