On Sunday August 28th STPD Officers responded to 24 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Eastern Blvd at Northern Way

At 0128 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Blvd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.

Theft of bicycles-400 block of Cortleigh Dr

At 0941 hours an Officer responded to an address on Cortleigh Dr for the report of a theft of two bicycles.  The victim advised the bicycles had been taken off his front porch sometime overnight.  The total value of the bicycles was $900.

Attempted theft from vehicle-2000 block of Dixie Dr

At 1042 hours an Officer responded to Dixie Dr for the report of an attempted theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised his unlocked vehicle had been entered between 0130-0300 hours on this date.  Several things were disturbed but nothing was taken.

Theft from vehicles/theft of bicycle-100 block of S Russell St

At 1030 hours an Officer responded to a home on S Russell St for the report of thefts that occurred overnight.  The victim advised two unlocked vehicles that were parked at the residence were entered and some change was taken.  They also discovered a NEXT girls bicycle had been taken from their back yard.

 Theft from vehicle-1900 block of Wallace St

At 1305 hours the victim contacted police to report a theft from her unlocked vehicle that occurred overnight.  She reported her drivers license and some gift cards were removed from the vehicle.  The items were later found in a nearby yard.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1310 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee advised a male placed a $258 Dewalt cordless saw down his pants and left the store.  When confronted by the employee, the male ran to a vehicle and fled the parking lot.  The vehicle’s tag number was obtained and the male was later identified with charges to be filed.
