On Saturday September 3rd STPD Officers handled 30 incidents and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI/Poss. of marijuana/Resisting arrest-Kingston Rd at Eastern Blvd

At 0109 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Kingston Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and also in possession of marijuana.  The driver resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody and transported to Central Booking for processing and charges.

Hit and run-Fat Daddy’s, 2510 E Market St

At 0213 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Fat Daddy’s for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised his vehicle had been struck while it was parked in the lot.  The driver of the striking vehicle was later identified.  The victim declined prosecution and information was exchanged.

Theft-Chipotle, 2801 Concord Rd

At 1040 hours an Officer responded to Chipotle for a theft report.  An employee reported cash had been taken from the business proceeds.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-AT&T, 3013 E Market St

At 1225 hours an Officer responded to the AT&T store on E Market St for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 9/1/16.  A male and a female had taken $599 worth of merchandise and photos of the suspects were provided to police.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft by deception-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At  1445 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for theft.  An employee advised the female had fraudulently returned $41 worth of merchandise and received a gift card.  The female was released with charges to be filed.

Found cocaine-Sam’s Club, 2801 E Market St

At 1717 hours an Officer responded to Sam’s Club for the report of a small bag of white powder found near the cash registers.  The substance was found to be cocaine.  If anyone is missing their bag of cocaine, please contact STPD.

Theft of a license plate-1300 block of Canterbury Ln

At 1928 hours an Officer responded to an address on Canterbury Ln for the report of a theft of a license plate that occurred overnight on 9/1/16.  The license plate was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Loitering and prowling at night-3300 block of Appleford Way

At 2251 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Appleford Way for the report of subject who was prowling on the property.  The victim advised he heard a subject outside his residence and the subject attempted to open his front door.  When the victim went to investigate the subject ran off.  The victim found a photo of Linda Blair from The Exorcist taped to a window of his vehicle.
