On Sunday September 25th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Vehicle theft-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1337 hours an Officer responded to the Galleria Mall for the report of a stolen vehicle.  The victim advised her Volkswagen Jetta was taken from the parking lot by the food court entrance between 1200-1330 hours.  The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1416 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $57 worth of merchandise.  The female was identified and cited for summary retail theft.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1618 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two juveniles in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the juveniles had taken a total of $55 worth of merchandise.  They were released to parents and will be referred to the Youth Aid Panel.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2153 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male and female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the subjects had taken a total of $45 worth of merchandise.  They were cited for summary retail theft and the male was taken to Central Booking for active warrants.

Theft by deception-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2200 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a theft by deception that occurred on 9/19/16.  An employee advised a female had conducted a fraudulent return and obtained gift cards.  The female was identified and charges will be filed.

Simple assault-100 block of Cropthorne Ln

At 2227 hours Officers responded to an address on Cropthorne Ln for the report of an assault.  The victim advised she was assaulted by her husband who then fled the residence.  The husband was located nearby and taken into custody.  He was transported to Central Booking and charged with simple assault.
