On Wednesday October 19th STPD Officers handled 39 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Criminal mischief-700 block of S Royal St
At 1038 hours an Officer responded to a residence on S Royal St for the report of damage that was done to some shrubbery.
Criminal mischief-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd
At 1148 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for criminal mischief to school property. A student became upset and damaged a door. Charges are pending further investigation.
Theft by deception-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Rd
At 1500 hours an Officer met with an employee of Boscov’s for the report of a theft that occurred on 10/18/16. The employee advised a male had conducted a fraudulent return and obtained a gift card. The male was identified and charges will be filed.
Access device fraud-Edible Arrangements, 2300 E Market St
At 1405 hours an Officer responded to Edible Arrangements for the report of a suspicious credit card transaction. An employee advised a subject phoned in an order and provided a credit card number which was declined. Investigation revealed the credit card appears to have been stolen.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1811 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $31 worth of merchandise without paying. The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.
