On December 15th, 2016 the STPD received a large donation of personal care items, hats, gloves, socks and water to help officers provide care for some of our residents that could use a little help this holiday season. Thank you so much for this generous gift. Your generosity truly does make a difference. The department also received Rutter’s gift cards that officers will be handing out during their patrols.
Last year this time, an anonymous citizen donated one thousand dollars to the department with the condition that it all be given away. Their generosity sparked the creation of the Springettsbury Police Community Care Fund which, to date, has received over $3000.00 in donations. Officers were able to help 10 people for various reasons with items such as hotel rooms, diapers, cab rides, meals and personal care items. The Springettsbury Police would like to thank everyone for their generous gifts and for helping us make a difference in the lives of these individuals.
