On Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 12:31 PM, Springettsbury Township Police Officers were dispatched to the Citizens Bank at 2990 East Market Street for a reported Bank Robbery.  Investigation revealed that a white male (pictured below) wearing a dark colored knit hat and a light colored jacket with a dark colored insert, entered the bank and told a teller he had a bomb.  The male then demanded money from the teller and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.  The male then approached a customer inside the bank and demanded her car keys.  The suspect took the female victim’s keys and walked into the parking lot where he stole a 2014 Honda Civic belonging to the customer.  The vehicle was located a short time later by a PSP Trooper in the parking lot of the Haines Acres Shopping Center on Haines Road, unoccupied.  A K-9 unit from the York County Sheriff’s Department searched the area for the suspect but he was not located.  The vehicle and the bank were also checked for the presence of explosives and none were detected.  The Springettsbury Township Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is asking for anyone that might have seen anything or who recognizes the male in this photo, to contact them at 717-757-3525.  You can also contact the York County Crime Stoppers at 755-TIPS.
