Attempted homicide/Aggravated assault

On February 19th, 2017 at approximately 1338 hours the Springettsbury Township Police Department was dispatched to the 4100 block of Old Orchard Rd for the report of a domestic assault involving an ax.  Upon arrival, a 30 year-old male was taken into custody for attacking a 61 year-old male with an ax.  The victim was transported to York Hospital for emergency treatment and was later released.  The suspect is charged with one count of criminal attempt homicide, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of simple assault.
