On Wednesday February 22nd STPD Officers handled 35 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Harassment-Central York Middle School, 1950 N Hills Rd

At 0840 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for harassment that occurred at Central York Middle School.  Two students had caused another student to fall to the ground.  The investigation is ongoing.

Access device fraud-Weis Markets, 2400 E Market St

At 1438 hours an Officer took a report for unauthorized credit card use at Weis Markets.  The victim stated that an unknown person had used her credit card information to make a purchase at 1310 hours on this date.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1536 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $198 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was released with charges to be filed.

Theft from a vehicle-Aldi, 280 Northern Way

At 1613 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised her Apple iPhone was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Aldi.

Retail theft-Sam’s Club, 2801 E Market St

At 1912 hours an Officer responded to Sam’s Club for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee advised a male had taken a TV and fled when confronted.  He was last seen running with the TV north across Concord Rd.

Theft-KMart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 2040 hours an Officer responded to KMart for the report of a theft.  A manager advised that a juvenile employee was found to have taken $300 in cash from the business over several days.  Charges pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Little Caesar’s, 2701 Eastern Blvd

At 2051 hours an Officer responded to Little Caesar’s for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee advised the male suspect had taken $1.99 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.

Harassment-Laser Alleys, 3905 E Market St

At 2134 hours Officers responded to Laser Alleys for the report of a fight.  The investigation revealed two females got into a fight which was witnessed by several people.  Charges pending review of video surveillance.

Theft from a vehicle-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2130 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a theft report.  The victim advised that while she was shopping, someone entered her vehicle and took a bag that contained her laptop and some textbooks.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2204 hours an Officer was parked in front of Walmart when a female drove a motorized shopping cart next to his fully marked police cruiser.  The cart contained a large amount of clothing items that were not in shopping bags and still had the tags attached.  The Officer made contact with the female and she admitted that she had just stolen the items from Walmart.  The total value of the merchandise was $730 and the female was released with charges to be filed.
