On Friday February 24th STPD Officers handled 35 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Northern Way at Eastern Blvd

At 0113 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after witnessing erratic driving.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  The driver was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending BAC results.

Harassment-Banana Max, 2650 Eastern Blvd

At 0211 hours an Officer came upon a fight in the parking lot of Banana Max.  Several of the involved subjects fled and charges are pending further investigation.

Criminal mischief/Disorderly conduct-Weis Markets, 2400 E Market St

At 0309 hours Officers responded to Weis Markets for the report of a male subject who broke one of the store’s windows.  The investigation revealed a male had been banging on the windows yelling at employees inside and broke the window.  The male then left the area but was located nearby.  He was identified and taken to Central Booking for arraignment on the charges.

Fraud-Edible Arrangements, 2300 E Market St

At 0854 hours an Officer responded to Edible Arrangements for a fraud report.  An employee advised that a male called in a $597 order and used a fraudulent credit card number.  The employee advised that this same male has made other similar orders in the past and had the arrangements delivered to several different females.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1212 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report.  A witness observed a silver sedan strike another vehicle and then flee the area.

At 1230 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a red Saturn Vue struck her vehicle and fled the scene.

Theft-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1725 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a stolen cell phone.  The victim advised her cell phone was stolen out of her purse while she was shopping at Target around 1700 hours.  The investigation is ongoing.

Public drunkenness-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1830 hours an Officer responded to the food court of the Galleria Mall for an intoxicated female who had flipped over a table.  The female was taken into custody for public drunkenness and transported to Central Booking.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2007 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male who fled after committing a retail theft.  The male was located nearby and found to have taken $14 worth of merchandise.  He was cited for summary retail theft and released.
