On Saturday February 25th STPD Officers handled 34 incidents and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-1800 block of Wallace St

At 0047 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Wallace St for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a vehicle struck his SUV while it was parked in front of his home.  The striking vehicle fled the scene but left some parts of it’s bumper behind.

DUI-3500 block of Mark Dr

At 0110 hours an Officer responded to Mark Dr for the report of a suspicious vehicle.  The Officer located the vehicle and found the driver was under the influence.  She was arrested for DUI and taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges were prepared because this was her second DUI offense.

DUI-Rt 30 at Pleasant Acres Rd

At 0510 hours an Officer responded to Rt 30 to check the welfare of a subject that was in a vehicle on the side of the road.  The driver was found to be intoxicated and she was arrested for DUI.  She was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges to be filed pending BAC results.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1653 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a retail theft where the suspect fled.  An employee advised a male had taken $51 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  He was last seen running west across Northern Way.

Hit and run-E Market St at Northern Way

At 1710 hours an Officer responded to E Market St for a hit and run report.  The victim advised an Acura SUV struck her vehicle and fled the scene.  The tag number of the striking vehicle was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Harassment-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2100 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a harassment report.  The victim advised an unknown female struck her after an argument in the cosmetics section.  The investigation is ongoing.
