On Thursday March 16th, 2017 at approximately 6:51AM Springettsbury Township Police and EMS were dispatched to the 3000 block of East Market Street for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Investigation revealed that a female was struck by a white Chevrolet Malibu traveling westbound on East Market Street. The vehicle was operated by Roger Broadwater of York. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained from the crash. At this time the female’s name is not being released pending notification of family members. The incident is still under investigation and the STPD is requesting information from anyone who might have witnessed the crash.
