On Friday March 24th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 7 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft from a vehicle-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 0810 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of a Galleria Mall for a theft report.  The victim advised several of his credit cards were taken out of his unlocked vehicle between 1100-1530 hours on 3/23/17.

Aggravated assault/Ethnic intimidation-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 0837 an Officer responded to YDC for the report of a juvenile resident who assaulted a staff member.  The investigation revealed the suspect called the staff member a racial slur and then spit on and struck the staff member.  Charges were completed.

Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 1131 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 3/22/17.  An employee advised a male took $20 worth of merchandise without paying.  Photos of the suspect were provided and will be disseminated for identification assistance.

Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 1355 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male took $329 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  Photos of the suspect were provided and will be disseminated for identification assistance.

Hit and run-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1820 hours an Officer responded to Home Depot to meet the victim for a hit and run report.  The victim advised his Ford truck was struck while he was inside shopping.
