On Saturday March 25th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of marijuana-Northern Way at Industrial Hwy

At 0100 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Northern Way.  A small amount of marijuana was located in the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were released with charges to be filed.

DUI-Eastern Blvd at Haines Rd

At 0136 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing erratic driving on Haines Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and she was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges are pending BAC results.

DUI crash-100 block of Haines Rd

At 0300 hours Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Haines Rd for a vehicle accident.  The investigation revealed a single vehicle went off the road, struck two mailboxes and destroyed a telephone pole.  The driver of the vehicle was not injured but he was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and was charged with his third offense of DUI.

Public drunkenness-Round the Clock Diner East, 145 Memory Ln

At 0440 hours an Officer responded to Round the Clock Diner East for the report of an intoxicated female who passed out in the parking lot.  The female was located and cited for public drunkenness.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1304 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a subject who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised a male had taken $184 worth of merchandise and took off running when he was confronted.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1531 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two juvenile females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the females had taken $27 worth of merchandise.  The juveniles were released and will be referred to the Youth Aid Panel.

Theft-2000 block of N Sherman St

At 1624 hours an Officer responded to a residence on N Sherman St for a theft report.  The victim advised that sometime between October of 2016 and today, a .45 caliber handgun was stolen out of the trunk of his vehicle.  The handgun was entered into NCIC.

Criminal mischief, Suburban Park Apartments, Carnegie Rd

At 2208 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of the Suburban Park Apartments for a criminal mischief report.  The victim’s vehicle had damage to the hood and trunk, and all the windows were broken out.
