On Sunday March 26th STPD Officers handled 19 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 4 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 0059 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male being detained for retail theft by an off-duty PSP Trooper who witnessed the theft. The male was found to have taken $44 worth of merchandise. He was released with misdemeanor charges to be filed for his second retail theft offense.
Indecent assault-Banana Max, 2650 Eastern Blvd
At 0120 hours Officers responded to Banana Max for the report of an indecent assault. The victim advised an unknown subject had touched her inappropriately inside the bar. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft of services/Harassment-Round the Clock Diner East, 145 Memory Ln
At 0242 hours an Officer responded to Round the Clock Diner East for the report that a male was trying to fight two females in the restaurant. The investigation revealed a male had gotten into an altercation with other subjects in the restaurant. The male and his female companion then fled without paying for their meals. Suspect information was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
