On Monday March 27th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St
At 0915 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft. An employee advised that he observed a male take $16 worth of merchandise without paying and leave the store. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and run-Service Truck and Tire Center, 2800 Concord Rd
At 1040 hours an Officer responded to Service Truck and Tire Center for a hit and run report. The victim advised his vehicle had been damaged while parked in the lot and the striking vehicle left behind it’s front bumper. Information was obtained for the striking vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
Access device fraud-Giant Gas, 2335 E Market St
At 1304 hours an Officer took a report for an access device fraud that resulted from the victim’s bank card being stolen from the Giant Gas Station. The victim’s card was then used at several nearby locations and information was obtained on a possible suspect.
Criminal mischief-3500 block Pleasant Valley Rd
At 1658 an Officer responded to a residence on Pleasant Valley Rd for a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that window screens on her home had been damaged overnight.
