On Tuesday March 28th STPD Officers handled 34 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 0945 hours the School Resource Officer took a theft report from a student.  The student advised his iPhone was stolen and it was still in the school according to GPS.

Criminal Mischief-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 1100 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for criminal mischief.  A student advised that his iPhone was broken while it was in a hallway.

Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 1427 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft.  An employee advised that a male and a female took $294 worth of DVDs from the store.  They were later stopped and identified as they were trying to exchange the DVDs for money at FYE in the Galleria Mall.  The subjects were also found to be in possession of $53 worth of merchandise that they had just stolen from Bath and Body Works.  The subjects were released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1540 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a retail theft that occurred on 3/27/17.  An employee advised a male had taken $79 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was identified from a prior encounter at the store and charges will be filed.

Theft-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1710 hours an Officer responded to the food court at the Galleria Mall for a theft report.  The victim advised her purse had been taken from her chair.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1751 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had switched price tags on an item, depriving Walmart of $28.  The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1821 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a retail theft that occurred on 3/20/17.  An employee advised a male had taken $213 worth of merchandise without paying.  Photos of the male were provided and disseminated for identification assistance.

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-E Market St at Northern Way

At 2242 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Northern Way.  The driver was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  She was released with charges to be filed.
