On Tuesday April 11th STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of drug paraphernalia-E Market St at S Keesey St

At 0144 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and the driver was found to have an arrest warrant.

Possession of drug paraphernalia/Overdose-Sheetz, 405 Memory Ln

At 0337 hours Officers responded to Sheetz for the report of a male in the bathroom who was unconscious as the result of a heroin overdose.  Both police and EMS used doses Narcan to revive the male and he was transported to the hospital.  Drug paraphernalia was recovered from the scene but the male will not be charged due to the drug overdose immunity law.

Theft/Access device fraud-Harley Davidson, 1425 Eden Rd

At 0715 hours an Officer responded to Harley Davidson for the report of a theft.  The victim advised her wallet had been stolen while she was working.  Her credit cards had been used numerous times in the Harrisburg area.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 1114 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier on this date.  An employee advised a male had left the store without paying for $34 in merchandise and was last seen getting in a red SUV.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1518 hours an Officer responded to the area of Walmart for the report of a male who was fleeing the area after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $117 worth of merchandise and a description of the male’s vehicle was given.  The vehicle was located and the male was identified.  Charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1835 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a female who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $339 worth of merchandise without paying.  Photos of the female were disseminated for identification assistance.
