On Tuesday April 18th STPD Officers handled 26 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Access device fraud-400 block of Hunting Park Ln

At 1138 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of an unauthorized charge that was made on her bank card.  The victim advised that an unknown person used her card number to make a $400 purchase in NY.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1324 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken a total of $139 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were cited for summary retail theft and released.

Harassment-1600 block of Long Dr

At 1748 hours Officers responded to a residence on Long Dr for the report of a domestic dispute.  The victim advised her boyfriend had hit her in the face with a sandwich.  The male was cited for harassment.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1824 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $42 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1901 hours an Officer took a report for a retail theft that occurred at Walmart on 4/16/17.  An employee advised 3 subjects worked together to take $456 worth of merchandise.  One of the subjects was identified from a prior retail theft at Walmart and photos of the other two suspects were posted for identification assistance.

Theft-Sears, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1838 hours an Officer responded to Sears for the report of an employee theft.  A manager advised that an employee was found to have taken several hundred dollars in cash from her register and numerous clothing items from the store over the past several weeks.  Charges to be filed.

DUI crash-Eastern Blvd at Bedfordshire Dr

At 2208 hours an Officer responded to the above intersection for the report of a head on vehicle crash.  The operator of one of the vehicles was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges were completed due to this being his second DUI.

Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2340 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised that her vehicle was struck while she was inside shopping.  A witness provided a description of the striking vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
