On Tuesday April 25th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Rutters, 160 N Hills Rd

At 0116 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  The victim advised that while she was sitting in her vehicle, a silver sedan struck her vehicle and fled the scene.  The victim obtained the tag number for the striking vehicle and the suspect was identified.  Charges pending further investigation.

Harassment-Cortleigh Dr at Eastern Blvd

At 0125 hours an Officer responded to the above intersection for the report of harassment.  The victim advised a female got out of a vehicle and struck him in the face.  The suspect then got back in the vehicle and fled the area.

Simple Assault-Perkins, 2500 E Market St

At 0818 hours Officers responded to Perkins for the report of an assault.  The victim was a Perkins employee and advised a known female had shown up at the restaurant and began assaulting her.  The suspect was still on scene when police arrived and she was identified.  Charges are pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1709 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $39 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Hit and run-Mt Zion Rd at Rt 30

At 1801 hours the victim responded to the station to report a hit and run.  The victim advised a blue Toyota Tacoma had run him off the road causing him to strike a street sign.  The suspect vehicle fled the area and no tag number was obtained.
