On Friday May 19th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-2500 block of Eastern Blvd

At 0152 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after witnessing a violation on Eastern Blvd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was taken to Central Booking where he refused a blood test.  The driver was processed for his first DUI offense and charges will be filed.

DUI-N Hills Rd at E Market St

At 0250 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on N Hills Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges are pending his BAC results.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle-2400 block of Schoolhouse Ln

At 0342 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Schoolhouse Ln for the report of two stolen vehicles.  The victim advised known subjects had taken two vehicles that were parked at the residence without permission.  Charges are pending further investigation.

Theft-3800 block of Stonybrook Dr

At 1100 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft from his residence.  The victim stated that prescription medication was missing and provided information on a few possible suspects.

Retail theft-Sears, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1500 hours an Officer responded to Sears for the report of a retail theft.  A manager advised that an employee was suspected of taking $200 worth of merchandise without paying.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1720 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $131 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Memory Ln at Rt 30

At 2134 hours an Officer responded to the above intersection for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised she was involved in an accident with another vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot.  A suspect was developed and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 2047 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $24 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for summary retail theft and released.
